Germany Air Mail Terminal III (GAMT III) – Questions RFI
1. If the processing of registered mail was added to the PWS, a number of requirements would be added to include the handling of registered mail by U.S. citizens with a secret clearance only. If the decision were made pre-award, what impact would it have to your current proposal? What if it were added post-award?
2. If the government adds the requirement to process registered mail after the contract award date and you chose to not take on this additional requirement, would you be willing to share the mail processing facility (at a cost) with a different contractor who would process the registered mail?
3. Paragraph 4 of the PWS identifies how the government determines the weight of all mail processed. Considering payment is based on weight, will you require additional processes to validate these weights or do you accept the weights as listed on the AV-7s (for commercial air movement) or in AMPS (for surface container movement)?
4. How would you handle significant mail surges during natural disasters, pandemics, or wartime contingencies that may require additional manning and facility space?
5. What is the preferred CLIN structure for this requirement?
6. Are there any other questions/concerns for this requirement?
7. Are there any alternative or innovative solutions for this requirement?
