About this file
This document is a Delivery Schedule for a food service contract with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). All awarded food items must be delivered between September 29, 2026, and December 31, 2026, on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm, unless alternative arrangements have been approved. The Food Service warehouse can be contacted at (919) 575-5000, extension 1441 or 1058, for delivery coordination purposes.
Contractors must comply with specific delivery requirements including palletization of all items unless prior warehouse staff approval has been obtained. Non-frozen perishable foods must be delivered at 34°F to 40°F, while frozen foods must arrive at 0°F or below; products showing evidence of prior thawing will be refused. All Certified Religious Diet Items require appropriate marking or will be rejected. All items must strictly comply with BOP National Menu Specifications, and contractors are responsible for obtaining and understanding these specifications prior to quotation. The Government reserves the right to conditionally receive deliveries for up to three days to allow for inspection and testing, including thawing and cooking as necessary. Items failing specification compliance will be refused, and conditionally received items found unacceptable must be picked up by the vendor within two weeks at the vendor's expense or will be disposed of by the Government. Contractor failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or failure to conform to specifications will negatively impact past performance ratings and may result in removal from future solicitations.
