About this file
This document is a vendor guidance letter from the US Army Signal Network Enterprise Center dated 13 November 2024, addressing Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system procurement for Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) and Yakima Training Center (YTC). The letter provides specific instructions for units purchasing radio equipment, requiring vendors to supply radios with P25 UHF Trunking, AES Encryption, and Over-The-Air-Rekey (OTAR) capabilities for current and future Army ACE LMR Network deployment.
The document lists three primary LMR vendors: BK/RELM, L3HARRIS, and MOTOROLA, providing detailed contact information for each vendor's strategic accounts representative. Units are instructed to consult these vendors about their specific radio requirements, including potential FirstNet capabilities and multi-band needs. After receiving quotes, units must forward them to the Signal Network Enterprise Center for review. Additional procedural requirements include submitting a Remedy ticket for programming, completing a DA 2062 form, and supplying charged batteries, programming cables, and antennas. The document is signed by Troy Hunt, LMR Manager, with a contact number for further inquiries at 253-967-1567.
