About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Food for Progress FY 2025 Notice of Funding Opportunity, dated July 1-July 3, 2025. The Q&A addresses key application details, including formatting requirements (10-point font allowed for tables and graphics), past performance review submissions (up to 3 reviews for applicant, plus 1 for subrecipients over 20% of budget), and submission guidelines. Important clarifications include: local public institutions from targeted countries can be subrecipients, subrecipients can be named without an active Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) but must obtain one before receiving funds, and applications must be submitted through the Food Aid Information System.

The document provides additional guidance on commodities for monetization (refer to Appendix F), confirms no country-specific guidance or scope of work will be provided, and emphasizes that funding is subject to availability and adherence to Federal Regulations. The Food for Progress Program aims to support agricultural development in developing countries by donating U.S. agricultural commodities, with priority countries including Kenya, Colombia, Vietnam, and Ethiopia. Applicants should carefully review the full Notice of Funding Opportunity and consult the specified pages for complete details on submission requirements and program objectives.
