Specifications require 40,000 lb. capacity trailers rated at 55 MPH with a 7,600 lbs. tare weight, 102" width x 30' length dimensions, W14" x 22# A572 Grade 50 high tensile steel construction, dual 22,500 lbs. axles with 49" spacing, sealed wiring harness with LED lights, adjustable pintle eye hitch, drop leg landing gear, eight D-ring lash rings, and eight 215/75x17.5 16-ply tires. All prices must be quoted as delivered prices with applicable taxes deducted, and bidders must provide Manufacturers Statements of Origin free and clear of liens for each piece of equipment at delivery. The Macon Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award to other than the lowest bidder based on factors including price, reputation, financial responsibility, experience, and usefulness to the using department. Bidders may propose equivalent products meeting or exceeding specifications, provided they submit complete descriptive literature and proof of equivalency; failure to identify a substitute requires furnishing goods identical to the bid specifications. Bidders must notify the Purchasing Office of any document discrepancies and submit written requests for specification interpretations by 5:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026. Bid documents are available through the Macon Water Authority website, the Georgia Procurement Registry, or via email to rhsmith@maconwater.org.
