About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs for the purchase of liquid coffee and the leasing of coffee machines for fiscal years 2022-2025. The RFQ seeks to procure regular and decaf liquid coffee concentrate in 0.5-gallon bags, with a shelf life of 4 months and a 30-day open life. The required quantities vary from 50 to 80 cases for regular coffee and 20 to 35 cases for decaf coffee annually. The RFQ also requires the leasing of 4 coffee machines that can accommodate 2-gallon bag-in-box containers, serve 2 coffee products and hot water, and have various operational features. Vendors must provide pricing for the coffee products and the machine leasing, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest total bid.
The RFQ includes specific requirements for the coffee products, such as the availability of producing various yields, and for the coffee machines, such as size specifications and operational capabilities. Vendors must provide warranty information, and all prices must include shipping and handling charges. The agency reserves the right to reject any offers and to award the contract by item, part, or portion of an item. COVID-19 safety protocols, as mandated by the state's executive orders, must be followed by the winning vendor.
