About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Army Fixed Wing Project Office seeking market research for a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (MAIDIQ) contract supporting aircraft services. The contract will cover comprehensive aircraft modification, integration, and maintenance services for various fixed-wing aircraft, including Beechcraft, Cessna, Fairchild Swearingen, Bombardier, and Textron Defense platforms, with potential for Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) militarization.
The anticipated 5-year ordering period will include task orders for aircraft modification, heavy maintenance, training, engineering services, logistics support, pilot services, and international compliance. Potential locations include both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), including combat zones. Interested companies are required to submit a detailed capability statement addressing specific questions about modification capabilities, engineering methodologies, cyber hygiene, international experience, and facility capacities. The response deadline is 18 July 2025, with individual task orders to be competed among MAIDIQ awardees and potentially issued as fixed price, cost reimbursable, or hybrid contracts.

Army FW aircrafts consist of Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) that have been or may be militarized in support of unit and customer missions during peacetime, contingency operations, and time of war such as operational support airlift (personnel and limited cargo) and priority air transport (Department of Defense (DoD) and other agency senior leadership). A CDA is a fixed-wing aircraft procured as a commercial Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Type Certificated off-the shelf developmental or non-developmental item that has its serial number listed on an FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet and subsequently modified to meet military mission requirements.
