About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI). The FWRI is seeking to purchase and maintain Sea-Bird Scientific Conductivity, Temperature, Depth Profilers and Auxiliary Sensors to measure ocean water quality for their Harmful Algal Bloom group. The purchase of new equipment and service/maintenance of four existing profilers and sensors is required for the continuation of their work. Sea-Bird Scientific is the sole manufacturer and authorized service provider for these instruments, which must be recalibrated annually. The contract term is three years upon issuance of the purchase order.

The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $150,000. Sea-Bird Scientific is the only vendor capable of providing the required products and services. The FWRI has determined that the commodities or contractual services are only available from this single source.
