About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for the BWWMA Fence Supply Project. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding subcontracting, material suppliers, and bid submission procedures for fencing supplies to the Babcock/Webb Wildlife Management Area in Punta Gorda. The project requires delivery of 3,200 wooden fence posts (6' 4-5"), 200 wooden posts (8' 6"), 1,360 galvanized steel T-posts, 400 rolls of barbed wire, 40 rolls of brace wire, galvanized steel spikes, and fence staples. All sealed bids must be received by mail no later than 3:30 PM ET on Friday, August 14, 2026, with anticipated award on August 19, 2026. Public bid opening will occur on August 14, 2026 via in-person attendance or teleconference. The contract will be effective for one year upon issuance of the Purchase Order, with all fencing supplies required to be delivered by February 1, 2027, within three months of Purchase Order issuance.
The estimated budget for this project is $95,000. Price quotes must exclude federal and state sales or use taxes and include all delivery fees and necessary items to complete the project. Subcontracting is not permitted for this project; however, material suppliers are not legally considered subcontractors and may be utilized, provided they do not deliver supplies on the awarded vendor's behalf. Bidders must be registered in MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and SunBiz prior to bid opening and must submit a minimum of three references for similar completed projects. All items must be bid or the bid will be rejected. The award will go to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest total price. Failure to meet the February 1, 2027 completion date will trigger liquidated damages of $100 per calendar day of delay. A Subcontractor Minority Status Report must be submitted with each invoice for payment, with vendors indicating "N/A" given the prohibition on subcontracting.
