FWC 25/26-34C Addendum 1 - Questions and Answers Summary
This addendum document, issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) on January 16, 2026, provides clarifications regarding Solicitation No. FWC 25/26-34C for the Sandy Sprunt Day Use Area Project. The project encompasses construction of five crushed rock parking spaces, one ADA-compliant parking space, a day use pavilion, an information kiosk, an asphalt driveway connection, and a concrete sidewalk in Monroe County, Florida. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit were conducted on January 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET. Written questions were required to be submitted by January 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET, with Addendum 1 responses posted by January 23, 2026. Sealed bids are due by February 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM ET, with a public bid opening scheduled for the same date and time. The anticipated award date is February 6, 2026, and the contract term extends from execution through twelve months following substantial completion, with substantial completion required within ninety calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
This addendum addresses one primary question regarding tree removal and disposal procedures. The FWC clarified that removed trees can be disposed of on-site but must be relocated at least 100 feet outside the work area, with placement directed by Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Staff or the FWC Project Manager. The project has an established budget of $420,000, and bidders are required to submit a 5% bid guarantee for bids exceeding $100,000, along with 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds. Liquidated damages are assessed at $250 per calendar day for delays beyond the substantial completion date. All bid protests must be filed with the FWC Purchasing Office at 1875 Orange Avenue East, Tallahassee, Florida 32311-6160 in accordance with Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes.
