The addendum provides responses to contractor questions and an updated bid form. The project includes removing and replacing the metal roofing system, lightning protection, gutters, downspouts, and providing a continuous gutter system, downspouts, and drainage piping. Alternate bids are requested for removing and replacing wood cedar columns and the metal roof on the shop building. Bids are due no later than 3:30 PM ET on February 20, 2024. The contractor must be registered in MyFloridaMarketPlace and with the State of Florida's SunBiz portal prior to the bid opening.
The updated bid form provides instructions for submitting the bid, including required documents such as a bid bond, subcontractor list, and experience questionnaire. The base bid is a lump sum for the scope of work described, with unit prices provided for additional fascia and plywood sheathing. Alternate bid items are also provided as lump sum amounts. The contractor must agree to establish an office or ongoing project within 300 road miles of the project site if the bid amount is $200,000 or greater.
