About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for the Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area Mechanical Vegetation Treatment project. FWC is seeking competitive pricing for the selective mechanical treatment of dense saw palmetto, wax myrtle, gallberry, and other vegetation on the Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area located in southern Martin and northern Palm Beach counties. The project aims to improve habitat and reduce fuel loads. The ITB includes detailed equipment and contractor specifications, scope of work, references requirements, and a mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit. Bids are due by February 14, 2024 at 2:30 PM ET, and the contract will be effective for four years upon issuance of the Purchase Order.
Pricing for the work will be bid on a per acre basis, and FWC reserves the right to increase or decrease treatment locations and/or acreage based on available funding. The ITB encourages participation from certified minority, woman, and service-disabled veteran owned businesses. Contractors must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with the Florida Division of Corporations (SunBiz) prior to the bid opening.
