About this file

This document is an addendum issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for their solicitation FWC 23/24-42, "Chassahowitzka WMA Limerock". The addendum addresses questions and answers related to the use of dump trucks to haul the required limerock material. Specifically, it clarifies that 3-axle dump trucks can be used, and semi-trucks would require approval from the project manager or commission delegate. The original solicitation seeks competitive pricing for limerock material and associated work at the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area, located in Leon County and the city of Tallahassee. Responses to the solicitation are due by 3:00 PM ET on November 15, 2023.

QUESTION #1

Will the use of Dump Trucks be allowed to haul the products described in the BID Invitation? Or just the Mini-Wheeler Dump trucks are allowed only?

ANSWER #1

Yes, 3-axle dump trucks can be used to haul the material. The mini-wheel axle is not required. The use of semi-trucks to haul material would need Project Manager or Commission Delegate approval since maneuvering the larger trucks is not feasible in some areas.
