About this file
This document is an addendum issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for Solicitation No. FWC 22/23-94, "Chassahowitzka WMA Contract Burning ReBid". The addendum provides responses to questions related to the contract, including the expected burn unit sizes, estimated annual budget, and the lack of a minimum acre requirement per burn event. The contract opportunity is for competitive pricing for the Chassahowitzka WMA Contract Burn, with the FWC estimating the burn events to range from 50 to 300 acres, with an average between 100 and 150 acres. The budget for the first year is estimated to be $75,000, but the number of individual units to be burned cannot be determined in advance due to the unknown bid price per acre and FWC's annual budget. The contract does not have a minimum acre requirement per burn event, as the FWC will combine units to make the burns as efficient and cost-effective as possible for the contractor and the agency.
