About this file
This document is an addendum to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Solicitation No. FWC 22/23-67C for the "Dinner Island White Farm Control Structure Replacement in Hendry County". The addendum provides responses to written questions received regarding the project, including the use of earthen ditch blocks for dewatering, the availability of fill material, and the requirement for bypass pumping. The original solicitation was issued for the replacement of the control structure at the Dinner Island White Farm in Hendry County, Florida.
The solicitation allows for the use of earthen ditch blocks for dewatering activities, but the FWC does not have a designated fill source available. Contractors are permitted to dispose of any imported fill material on-site, provided it is free of invasive species. Bypass pumping is not required, as there is sufficient space at the project site to utilize gravity flow to bypass the channel during construction, if necessary.
