About this file
This specification document outlines the technical requirements for ten 40-foot metal storage containers with roll-up doors for the State of Illinois. The containers are standard shipping container specifications adapted for stationary storage use, with requirements for structural integrity, weather protection, and operational functionality. Each unit must meet ISO 668 container standards with dimensions of approximately 40 feet in length, 8 feet in width, and 8 feet 6 inches in height. The roll-up door system must be manually operable, constructed of durable materials, and capable of secure locking. All containers must be structurally sound with no major rust, dents, or damage that would compromise functionality or safety. The specifications require containers to be clean and ready for immediate use upon delivery.
The document specifies material and construction standards including steel composition requirements, door mechanism durability, and weatherproofing capabilities to ensure long-term storage protection. Containers must include proper ventilation to prevent moisture accumulation and degradation of stored materials. The specifications address loading capacity requirements and structural reinforcement specifications necessary to support typical storage loads. No pricing information, award dates, or contract term details are provided within the specification document. Bidders should reference the related solicitation for submission deadlines, pricing requirements, delivery terms, and other contractual conditions.
