About this file

This document is a specification sheet for a 20 kW Cummins diesel generator model C20 D6. The generator set is designed for reliable power generation in stationary standby applications and is equipped with a Kubota heavy-duty engine, an alternator with selectable motor starting capability, and a PowerCommand 1.1 electronic control system. Key specifications include ISO8528 Class G3 governor regulation, 1% voltage regulation, and isochronous frequency regulation. The generator set can operate in ambient temperatures up to 50°C (122°F) and is housed in a corrosion-resistant aluminum enclosure.

The related federal contract opportunity is for repairs to the electrical power generation system at the Pacific Valley Fire Station in Big Sur, California. The current 20 kW Cummins C20 D6 generator is not functioning, and the contract requires replacement of the generator end, radiator, radiator hoses, fan belt, water pump, and thermostat to restore the generator to working order. The fire station is an off-grid facility supported by a solar array and backup generator. The solicitation is being issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
