About this file
This document is a follow-up question from a Request for Information (RFI) related to a Worldwide Field Support contract opportunity. The follow-up question is regarding the proposed breakdown of the contract into seven separate task orders, one per location per option year. The concern is that this structure would require personnel to "jump" between locations and transfer materials, which could pose challenges with SOFA, CAC, and DD254 requirements. The document asks the vendor to elaborate on the reasons why they would choose seven task orders over a single task order. The federal contract opportunity is for the Worldwide Field Support Follow On contract, solicitation number W56JSR24WFSRFI2, from the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Follow on question from Original RFI posted on April 18th, 2024 due back May 17th 2024 In regard to question #25, proposing a breakout of Hardware Task Orders (TO), the consensus appears to be a total of (7) TO; One TO per location, per Option Year. With the WFS contract supporting worldwide, personnel would need to jump from location to location (TO to TO) and material would require to transferred as well. There is also a concern regarding SOFA, CAC’s, MP ICAM realignment along with DD254 with each being tied to specific TO. With this concern, does the vendor see issue with supporting the requirements needed with personnel jumping from CTN to CTN if TO aligned to location and is there issue with shipping material/parts from one TO to another TO? What are the reasons why each vendor would choose (7) task orders over (1) task order? Please elaborate.
