About this file

This document is an amendment to the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for the Apprenticeship Building America, Round 2 (ABA2) grant program, which is being administered by the Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration. The amendment clarifies the requirement for a State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA) letter as part of the application, and what is required if an applicant is unable to obtain the letter. Specifically, the amendment states that if the SAA letter cannot be obtained, the applicant must provide a letter from the Authorized Representative explaining the efforts made to obtain the SAA letter and why it cannot be obtained. Applicants who submit either the SAA letter or the explanation letter will meet this requirement. The FOA provides funding for three categories of grants: (1) Ensuring Equitable RAP Pathways and Partnerships Through Pre-apprenticeship Leading to RAP Enrollment, (2) Creation of Education System-aligned Pre-apprenticeship and RAPs, and (3) Registered Apprenticeship Hubs. The grant program is part of the Registered Apprenticeship federal grant program (CFDA 17.285) administered by the Department of Labor.
