Amendment Three

American Apprenticeship Initiative Grants

AGENCY: Employment and Training Administration, Department of Labor

ACTION: Amendment to FOA-ETA-15-02

SUMMARY: On December 11, 2014, the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) announced the availability of approximately $100 million in grant funds authorized by Section 414(c) of the American Competitiveness and Workforce Improvement Act of 1998 (ACWIA), as amended (codified at 29 USC 2916a), for the American Apprenticeship Initiative Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).

The document is hereby amended as follows:

Updated Section I. A. Program Purpose This is an amendment to the FOA which removes the reference to foot note 5.

Old Text:

While the occupations at H-1B skill levels are generally defined as commensurate with a bachelor's degree or comparable experience, education, and training, American Apprenticeship is not limited to 4-year degree skill levels and can include the preparation of workers at various points along a career pathway.5

New Text:
