About this file

This is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) issued by Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) in Georgia for flooring installation projects at four school locations. The district seeks firm pricing for providing, delivering, and installing carpet squares and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) at Robert J. Burch Elementary School, McIntosh High School, Peachtree City Elementary School, and Sandy Creek High School. Specific projects include installing LVT with wall base in the front office/admin area at Burch Elementary; carpet tiles and wall base in the coaches' office at Sandy Creek High School; carpet tiles and wall base in the bookkeeper's office at Peachtree City Elementary; and carpet tiles and wall base in the auditorium at McIntosh High School. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM EST at Robert J. Burch Elementary School, which all prospective bidders must attend and sign in to qualify for submission. Written questions are due by June 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET, and responses must be submitted by June 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET via email, mail, or hand delivery to the FCPS Facilities Services office. The contract term runs from the award date through December 31, 2026, with no renewal options.

Respondents must provide firm pricing that covers demolition, preparatory work, materials, labor, installation, and disposal of all job-related debris at no cost to the school district. Pricing must remain firm through December 31, 2026, after which price escalations of no more than 10% may be invoked with 30 days' written notice and documentation of product cost increases. The RFQ specifies approved flooring products including Mohawk Group BT592/BT593 or Shaw Contract Tile for carpet, patcraft Timber Grove II Juniper for LVT, and Armstrong Vinyl Composite Tile as alternatives, with rubber base manufactured by Roppe Rubber Company or approved equivalents. Award will be based on factors including price, warranty, service guarantees, past performance, cost of ownership analysis, business capabilities, delivery schedules, and manufacturer quality standards—not on lowest price alone per district policy. Projects are not guaranteed purchases; the district will issue purchase orders as needed based on budget availability. All installation must comply with manufacturer specifications to maintain warranty coverage, and respondents must submit required forms including a Solicitation Response Form, Reference Form, Cost Proposal, and proposed flooring specifications with color options.
