About this file

The document provided contains a detailed drawing and specifications for floor trusses, as well as information about a related state and local contract opportunity. The floor truss drawing was prepared by Alpine Engineering for the "Governor's Housing" project and includes comprehensive technical details such as material specifications, load calculations, and installation requirements. The related state and local contract opportunity is for the procurement of 35 sets of trusses for the Homes for Iowa program, which is a project located in Jones County, Iowa. The contract opportunity does not provide a specific response deadline, award date, or contract term.

The floor truss drawing outlines the structural design and engineering requirements, including the type of wood, load capacities, and deflection limits. It also provides detailed instructions for handling, shipping, installation, and bracing of the trusses. The technical specifications and drawings must be closely followed by all contractors and installers involved in the project.

Refer to and follow the latest edition of BCSI (Building Component Safety Information, by TPI and WTCA) for safety practices prior to performing these functions. Installers shall provide temporary bracing per BCSI.

Unless noted otherwise, top chord shall have properly attached structural sheathing and bottom chord shall have a properly attached rigid ceiling. Locations shown for permanent lateral restraint of webs shall have bracing installed per BCSI sections B3, B7 or B10, as applicable. Apply plates to each face of truss and position as shown above and on the Joint Details, unless noted otherwise.

Refer to drawings 160A-Z for standard plate positions.
