About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) for the purchase of one (1) model year 2017 or newer Cessna Caravan 208 fixed-wing aircraft. The Addendum revises the original RFP requirements, including accepting aircraft with up to 2,500 total operating hours and 1,500 engine operating hours, and allowing model years between 2017-2019. The RFP also specifies that the aircraft must be current on all manufacturer-recommended maintenance and in compliance with applicable service bulletins. Responses are due by a specific deadline, and the Department will perform a pre-buy inspection on the selected aircraft.
The Addendum provides clarification on pricing, indicating that aircraft priced above $2.1 million (excluding delivery) will be deemed non-responsive. The Department will pay for the pre-buy inspection, and the Contractor will be required to provide a comprehensive warranty on the aircraft with no limitations. The RFP is intended to potentially replace an existing aircraft in the Department's fleet, and the Contractor is not permitted to provide their own sales and purchase agreement.
