About this file
This document is an Addendum for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Florida Highway Patrol, for Push Bumpers, Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) Bumpers, and other related accessories. The ITB seeks a qualified contractor to provide these products under a multi-year contract. The Addendum modifies the Scope of Work to allow for additions and deletions of products, as well as provides responses to questions submitted by a vendor regarding pricing for new vehicle models and product equivalents. The contract term is for an initial three (3) years with the option to renew for up to three (3) additional years.
The pricing for additional Push Bumper units must be at the same or similar prices as the units originally provided and agreed upon by both parties. The Department cannot accept "To Be Determined" (TBD) pricing and requires the contractor to project costs for the full contract term. The Department has accepted a proposed equivalent brand, Federal Signal DFC Push Bumper Series, as an alternative to the Westin brand originally specified.
