About this file
This document is a bid award notification from the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. (FKEC) for Bid #25-18, which covers specifications for oil spill clean-up emergency rates under a Master Service Agreement (MSA). The bid was awarded to two companies: Adventure Environmental Inc. and American Compliance Technologies, Inc. on April 23, 2025. The cooperative explicitly notes that this was not a public bid opening and therefore will not share detailed proposal information.
FKEC emphasizes that under Florida Statute Title X, Chapter 119, they do not meet the definition of a "state and local government agency" and are therefore not subject to statutory enforcement of public records disclosure. The organization reserves the right to protect its own privacy and the business information of its bidders and vendors. A link to the relevant statutory information is provided for reference, suggesting transparency while maintaining the ability to withhold specific bid details.
