About this file
This document is an award posting from the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. (FKEC) for Bid #25-09, which specifies the installation and conversion of a new security system. The contract has been awarded to Automated Port Services, Inc. on April 3, 2025, for a security system upgrade involving installation of a Genetec security door system and an Axis video camera system across nine different FKEC locations.
FKEC notes that since this was not a public bid opening, they cannot share the winning proposal details. The cooperative explicitly states that under Florida Statute Title X, Chapter 119, they do not meet the definition of a "state and local government agency" and therefore are not subject to statutory enforcement. FKEC reserves the right to protect the privacy of their bidders and vendors, and provides a reference link to the Florida state statute for additional context about public record regulations.
