About this file

The Fixed Fee per Meal Proposal is a procurement document for the City & County of Denver's Child Nutrition Programs, designed to establish meal pricing for food service vendors. The document outlines a comprehensive pricing structure for meal delivery across multiple categories including breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks, with specific pricing options for delivered meals and meals with additional services. The proposal covers meal services for various age groups, including Early Childhood Education (ECE) meals for children ages 3 to 5, and includes provisions for different service levels as defined in Appendix D, Chart 1, Options 1 and 2.

The pricing methodology allows for annual adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index for Food Eaten Away from Home, published by the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics. The vendor is expected to propose fixed fees per meal type, assuming no donated USDA Foods will be available, and must include all expected rebates, discounts, and credits in their pricing. Additionally, the proposal includes a section for fixed-price health and safety items such as bleach, gloves, sanitizing test strips, and various thermometers, providing a comprehensive pricing framework for the meal service contract.
