About this file

This Data Item Description establishes test procedures, equipment, and inspection criteria for first article qualification testing of an aircraft component. It requires test plans to include the purpose of testing, applicable documents, descriptions of units to be tested, step-by-step test procedures, defined readings and equipment settings, and inspection criteria defining minimum performance requirements. Tests must evaluate drawings, schematics, fixtures and testers necessary to assess units. This supports Solicitation FA812124Q0008 for the Department of the Air Force to procure spare seals for aircraft from qualified suppliers who can meet the first article qualification standards.
