About this file
This Scope of Services document is for the St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive fire alarm and life safety systems annual testing services. The contract covers testing and maintenance for portable fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, fire alarm notification systems, sprinkler and standpipe systems, fire pumps, and associated end devices across multiple SPPD facilities including the Headquarters, Parking Garage, Bike Barn, Central Energy Plant, Training Center, Downtown Deployment Trailers, and Buildings F&G. The initial contract term is five years with an option for one two-year renewal period, and the contractor will be responsible for performing monthly, annual, and five-year preventive maintenance and testing services in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines.
The contract includes specific requirements for contractor qualifications, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in fire and life safety systems maintenance, appropriate licenses and certifications, and the ability to service specific systems like VESDA-E VEU and Notifier fire alarm panels. The pricing terms indicate that base prices will remain firm for the first 12 months, with potential price adjustments thereafter subject to written approval.
