About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) seeks market research for fire suppression services at Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) and Sagamore Hill Observatory in Massachusetts. The Department of the Air Force is exploring a potential small business set-aside contract for comprehensive fire suppression system inspection, testing, and maintenance. The technical requirements include annual and semi-annual inspections of wet/dry/clean agent sprinkler systems, Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) systems, standpipe systems, post indicator valves, backflow preventers, and kitchen hood suppression systems across multiple buildings.
Interested vendors must submit a three-page Letter of Interest by 13 June 2025 to clarissa.baker@us.af.mil and michelle.huard@us.af.mil, detailing their capability to meet the specified requirements. The government anticipates a Firm-Fixed-Price contract structure and requires vendors to have certified contractors, comply with various federal and state regulations, and provide detailed inspection reports. The RFI emphasizes that this is an informational request only and does not guarantee a future contract, with responses to be used for acquisition strategy and performance specification development.
