About this file
This document contains the terms and conditions for a fire starters procurement issued by the State of Maine Department of Conservation, Bureau of Parks and Lands. The contract is a one-year agreement covering the period from May 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011, with potential delivery to any of twelve designated State of Maine campgrounds. The procurement solicits fire starters meeting specified product quality certifications, with quantities to be determined by actual orders placed by state agencies during the contract term rather than fixed upfront amounts. Vendors must submit pricing through an attached Excel spreadsheet as part of their response to the RFQ. Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted through the Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page, with all inquiries due at least 48 hours prior to bid closing. Quotes may be submitted at any time through the AdvantageME VSS system.
Pricing shall be inclusive of all transportation costs on an F.O.B. destination basis, with delivery possible to any of the twelve listed state parks. The State of Maine requires vendors to accept credit card payments with no surcharges allowed, and reserves the right to reject bids from vendors unwilling to accept this condition. The Division of Purchases maintains the right to cancel the contract with thirty days' written notice or immediately if the contractor fails to comply with contract terms. The contract may be extended beyond the initial expiration date at the Director of Purchases' discretion with contractor consent, provided pricing and terms remain the same or are renegotiated to lower amounts. Questions and inquiries should be directed to Bambi L. Tefft, Buyer II, at the State of Maine Division of Purchases.
