About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of a microbial flow cell sorter instrument by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Biosystems and Biomaterials Division at the Material Measurement Laboratory in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The contractor shall deliver one (1) cell sorter instrument specifically designed for small particle sorting, particularly microbial cells, to support NIST's fluorescence flow cytometry enumeration, characterization, and cell isolation work based on biological function.
The deliverable includes a 12-month manufacturer's warranty and a service agreement with a base period plus four (4) consecutive one-year option periods commencing upon warranty expiration. The cell sorter must meet NIST's technical specifications for validating flow cytometry methodologies and isolating cells for further downstream manipulation and analysis. This is a commercial products solicitation issued under Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 procedures, with quotes requested rather than a formal written solicitation. Interested vendors should reference Solicitation Number 1333ND26QNB640406 for submission requirements and evaluation criteria.
