About this file

This is a Statement of Need (SON) for the procurement of medical imaging equipment by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 (VISN 8) at James A. Haley VAMC in Tampa, Florida. The Audiology and Speech Pathology department requires one (1) TIMS 2000 SP unit to replace an obsolete TIMS 7000/9000 device that is no longer supported by the vendor. The replacement is time-sensitive due to approaching end-of-life status for both the current device and its operating system, which significantly impacts the department's ability to deliver optimal patient care and maintain operational efficiency.

The TIMS 2000 SP unit must include specific technical specifications including an Intel Core i5 4.3 GHz 12th Generation processor, 8 GB memory, 1 TB M.2 SSD, and Microsoft Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 operating system. Key capabilities include high-resolution video recording at 1024 x 1024 resolution and 30 frames per second with synchronized audio, DICOM compliance for automatic conversion and PACS integration, advanced diagnostic tools for review and reporting, and connectivity to analog and DICOM medical modalities. The contractor must provide five (1) years of support and maintenance including software upgrades, two-day product replacement for hardware failures, online training, onsite installation and training, and manufacturer's warranty. Delivery must occur within 30 days of purchase to the Speech Pathology clinic at James A. Haley VAMC, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612.
