About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Kentucky Department of Parks, an agency within the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, seeking sponsorship for a memorial plaque honoring Paul R. Simpson, a former Bison Care Coordinator at Big Bone Lick State Park. The solicitation (RFP 670 2500000290) is seeking up to 25 sponsors to provide monetary donations for creating a memorial plaque, with responses due by 2:00 p.m. (EDT) on April 24, 2024. The plaque will commemorate Simpson's contributions to the park, highlighting his passion for history, education, and conservation, and will include a brief biographical description and a humorous buffalo-related quote.

The sponsorship opportunity does not specify a fixed monetary amount, but instead invites potential sponsors to contribute to the memorial plaque's creation. Sponsors will receive recognition through potential advertising considerations such as signage or logo placement, subject to Kentucky State Parks' discretion. The evaluation of sponsorship responses will be based on three criteria: responsiveness to the solicitation (20 points), sponsor background (20 points), and the sponsorship response itself (60 points), with a total possible score of 100 points. Kentucky State Parks reserves the right to use any monetary sponsorship for additional expenses related to the memorial plaque, providing flexibility in the funding approach.
