Services may include ramps, power sliding doors, egress and access structural build-outs, remote keyless entry systems, wheelchair tie-down systems, hand controls, and wheelchair arm power lifts, among other modifications as prescribed by approved rehabilitation technology entities or medical facilities. Vendors need not provide all modification types but must clearly specify the services they intend to offer. The award period is 24 months, and the State intends to issue a single vendor award based on the quote most advantageous to the State, with price as the primary consideration.
All vendors must be licensed contractors capable of obtaining building permits in accordance with local codes. Responses must include photographs of previous residential modifications and references from three individuals attesting to the timeliness and quality of work. All pricing shall be FOB Destination with pricing remaining firm for the 24-month award term. Payment terms must be no less than 45 calendar days. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) officially registered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs may receive a 5% preference on price if documentation of certification is submitted. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities of goods and services based on available funding using rates established in the resulting Purchase Order or State Contract. Vendors must disclose if services will be performed outside Colorado or the United States and provide justification if applicable.
