About this file
This is a Federal Required Certification document applicable to the City of Pasadena, Department of Public Works' solicitation for Authorized Altec Equipment Maintenance, Service, and Repairs in California. The certification pertains to a five-year contract term for maintenance, service, and repairs of Altec equipment performed by vendors certified by Altec. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering high-quality services that comply with relevant industry and safety standards to support the City's fleet management needs. The contract solicitation seeks qualified vendors to provide authorized services using certified technicians.
The Federal Required Certification mandates that contractors must certify they have not used federal appropriated funds to influence federal officials in connection with this contract award, and must disclose any non-federal funds used for lobbying purposes by submitting Standard Form-LLL if applicable. Contractors must ensure this certification language is included in all subaward documents and require subrecipients to certify and disclose accordingly. Failure to submit the required certification subjects contractors to civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per failure, and false statements are subject to the Administrative Remedies for False Claims and Statements under 31 U.S.C. Chapter 38. The certification must be signed by the contractor's authorized official and serves as a material representation of fact required as a prerequisite for contract execution.
