QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

1. Q: Is the firm with which you contract required to have an established GSA (General Services Agreement) with the Federal government in order to engage?

A: No, a GSA schedule is not a requirement for responding to this Sources Sought Notice.

2. Q: The SOW states that the purpose is to "continue the deployment of the FEC's ECM Suite". Does this language indicate some work has already been done and if so you can provide any details as to how much work and who performed the work?

A: Deployment has been completed for approximately 10 offices. In house staff completed two (2) deployments and the Contractor (Open Text Public Sector Svc.) completed eight (8) deployments.

3. Q: The SOW refers to "migrating at least one key document repository per Office". Can you elaborate on where the document repositories currently exist and any details on systems from which we will need to migrate?

A: Current repositories are Microsoft Windows network shares.

4. Q: The SOW requests details on additional hardware or software that may be needed to complete the project. Can you provide details on what software and licenses are currently owned as well as the current hardware and architecture in place so we may assess any additional needs?

A: FEC owns 450 OpenText Content Server 10 licenses. We also have licenses for OpenText Object Importer. The Content Server production architecture is comprised of 2 Windows application servers, 1 Windows file server, and 1 Linux Oracle database server. We also have a test environment with 1 Windows application/file server and 1 Solaris Oracle database server.

5. Q: Do you already have a date in mind when you would like the work to commence?

A: Please note that this is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) and not a solicitation; however, should this SSN result in a solicitation, we would consider October 1, 2014 as our soft timeframe.

THIS NOTICE IS EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 16, 2014, AT 11:00 a.m. (EST).
