About this file
This is a Rate Sheet for FY25-26 Forensic Evaluations submitted by the State of Colorado, outlining compensation structures for forensic mental health evaluation services. The document specifies evaluation types and associated fees, including competency evaluations for both adult and juvenile defendants, sanity/mental condition evaluations, and testimony services. Evaluations are billed on a per-evaluation basis and are all-inclusive, covering necessary addendums with no additional reimbursement for travel or document review unless separately specified. Contractors must indicate their service location, select available evaluation methods (video, in-person, or both), and identify geographic areas where they can conduct evaluations across multiple custody statuses including inpatient facilities, bond cases, in-custody situations, and hold and wait scenarios. Contractors are also required to disclose any scheduling limitations for conducting evaluations.
The rate structure establishes fixed fees for competency and sanity/mental condition evaluations, with testimony and court preparation capped at $150 per hour for each service type, with a maximum of four hours total. No-show fees range from $50 to $100 depending on whether a letter to the Court is generated. Travel expenses require pre-approval from FSDV and are capped at $1,500 per occurrence for itemized lodging, meals, and applicable mileage or airfare, with the contractor responsible for any costs exceeding this threshold. Mileage reimbursement follows the Office of State Controller's standard rate. The document does not contain information regarding response dates, due dates, award dates, contract term, renewal options, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding sources.

In the event costs incurred are not specified, allowance will be determined on a case-by-case basis with written pre-approval by FSDV.
