About this file

This document is a Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract issued by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) for a Lone Worker Application - Probation Officer Safety Solution. The FDC requires a cloud-based application with the capability to track Probation Officer locations via GPS and notify the FDC of their locations, as well as features such as panic alarms, professional monitoring, and Geotab integration. The intended sole source provider is Ok Alone - A PEOPLESAFE Company, with a proposed contract term of three (3) years at an annual price of $300,000.

The justification for the single source procurement is that Ok Alone's Lone Worker Application is the only app on the market with an existing partnership and integration with Geotab, a location monitoring service that will monitor both the Officer's vehicle and the Officer. The procurement has been approved by several FDC officials, including the Program Management Analyst, Correctional Programs Consultant, Purchasing Manager, Strategic Sourcing Administrator, Director of Community Corrections, Deputy Director of Contracting & Sourcing, and Procurement Director.
