Questions for openFDA Support (2)
FDA-SOL-1159692
1) Will the FDA kindly consider extending the due date of the proposal by 1 week, in order that Past Performance Questionnaires can be filled out by each of the respective contractor references in a timely fashion?
The FDA will not extend the due date for proposals. All proposals and revisions shall be submitted electronically via email to Lisa.Yaw@fda.hhs.gov and received by 11 am Eastern Time on January 20, 2016.
However, FDA will extend the due date for Past Performance Questionnaires to January 27, 2016 by 11am Eastern Time via email to Lisa.Yaw@fda.hhs.gov.
2) With regards to SOW Task 5 on page 6 of the RFP, can the Government clarify whether the measures of costs associated with the development of new APIs is related to:
a) Baseline cost modeling to trace and estimate future task orders; or No
b) Expressing a formula which enables efficient bench-marking for each task, based on precedence?
FDA expects and encourages other entities to build their own APIs to access openFDA. The goal for this task is to acquire the estimated cost of creating and maintaining an openFDA API to other entities because other organizations have expressed interest in building their own APIs to access this open source software. FDA would like to have a general cost estimate should an external group decide to build their own API which will access openFDA.
