About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for the FDA-CDER-25-128751 solicitation dated 7/7/2024, addressing two key technical inquiries about the bulk RNA transcriptomics contract. The first question concerns RNA extraction, which the respondent clarifies will be conducted in-house, with the team currently optimizing their extraction method to obtain high-quality total RNA with a high RIN (RNA Integrity Number). The second question addresses data delivery methods, with the agency confirming that a self-hosted secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP) can be used for data transfer, while explicitly noting that AWS (Amazon Web Services) is not an acceptable delivery option.

FDA-CDER-25-128751 Questions and Answers 7/7/2024
1) What extraction kit was used for the Total RNA extraction? Is this an optional service line you would like to see pricing for?
RNA extraction will be done in-house; it I not required as a service. We are currently optimizing the RNA extraction method to obtain high quality (high RIN) total RNA.
2) Can we deliver via AWS bucket or a self hosted sFTP, instead of Box folder?
Yes, a self-hosted sFTP for delivery of data can be used in place of box folder. AWS is not available to us.
