Edwards Air Force Base invites all interested commercial providers of carpet removal and floor installation services to a site visit on Friday 01 August 2025. During this day, Edwards
AFB will present the requirement for the Carpet Removal and Flooring Installation of
B1630/1635 as well as B1643. While a site visit is NOT mandatory for this requirement it is highly encouraged.
Please arrive with adequate time for the Visitor Control Center to process your information and locate the site visit location. The Visitor Control Center is located at 1004
Rosamond Blvd, Edwards AFB, CA 93524 (Before West Gate).
For the site visit on Edwards AFB, California, PROSPECTIVE ATTENDEES MUST
SUBMIT ATTENDANCE REQUESTS TO THE POINT OF CONTACT (POC) IDENTIFIED
BELOW. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH ATTENDANCE.
The site visit will be conducted from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM PDT on Friday 01 August
2025. Attendance requests must be submitted before Tuesday 29 July 2025 @ 11AM PDT. No late entries will be accepted. All attendees must have a REAL ID to enter the base.
The POC for this site visit is Karla Vazquez and Abel Alcantar. Attendance requests must include all of the following information for each prospective attendee in PDF format on the contractor’s letterhead:
1. First Name
2. Last Name
3. Place of Birth
4. Date of Birth (year, month and day)
5. Full social security number
6. Citizenship status
7. Driver’s license number and expiration date
8. State that issued the driver’s license
To prevent the breach of Personal Identifiable Information (PII), attendance requests sent by unencrypted email will not be accepted. If unable to send via encrypted email please contact Karla Vazquez at karla_lizette.vazquez_montes@us.af.mil and Abel Alcantar at abel.alcantar.1@us.af.mil for alternate methods.

Driver’s License or Registration:
Insurance. All drivers must be prepared to show upon request.
It is unlawful for any person to:
Display or cause to be displayed or have in possession any canceled, revoked, suspended, fictitious, or fraudulently altered registration card, temporary permit, flightline decal, or mailto:@us.af.mil fraudulently‐altered state driver’s license/operators permit end their registration card, temporary pass to any other person or knowingly permit the use thereof by any person or upon any other vehicle than that which it is intended.
Lend or knowingly permit the use of their driver’s license by any other person.
No person shall drive a motor vehicle on Edwards AFB unless the person has in their immediate possession a valid driver’s license.
Installation Traffic Codes. Vehicle operators on a DoD installation and operators of GOVs will not use cellular phones unless the vehicle is safely parked or unless they are using a hands‐free device. Holding a cell phone while operating the cell phone in speaker mode does not constitute use of a hands-free device.
Cars manufactured after model year 1966 require a manufacturer‐approved restraint system meeting federal traffic safety standards.
Operators using vehicles equipped with air bags must still wear the manufacturer's primary restraint system (seat belts).
Speed‐Measuring Devices/Radar Detectors. Use of radar detection devices to indicate the presence of speed recording instruments or to transmit simulated erroneous speeds are prohibited on DoD installations to include Edwards AFB.
