About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document providing site-specific logistics information regarding the removal of a laminator located at Edwards Air Force Base.

The laminator is positioned in the basement of Building 1405 and can be accessed via a large exterior down ramp; the freight elevator cannot accommodate the machinery. No stairs, raised thresholds, narrow hallways, or restricted doorways obstruct the path from the laminator to the building exit. A loading dock is available, and the removal vehicle must be equipped with a liftgate. A pallet jack or equipment dolly can be brought directly to the laminator. Full disassembly of the equipment is required to move it through doorways and out of the building. Driver and removal crew personnel must obtain advance approval, visitor passes, and other authorization to access Edwards AFB per standard policy. Photographs of the laminator in its current location and the removal path have been provided as attachments.

3. Is there a loading dock available, or will the removal vehicle need a liftgate?

Yes, we have a loading dock, and the removal vehicle will require a liftgate.

4. Can a pallet jack or equipment dolly be brought directly to the laminator?

Yes.

5.Will any disassembly be required to move the laminator through the doorways or out of the building?

Yes, it will be required to be fully disassembled.

6.Will the driver and removal crew need advance approval, visitor passes, or other authorization to access Edwards AFB?

Yes, they will, per standard policy.

7. If possible, could you provide a few photos of the laminator in its current location, along with the path from the machine to the building exit/loading area?
