About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a mobile ballistic shield or protective structure with specific technical requirements. The detailed specifications include a 36" x 46" x 77" dimension panel, a non-retractable but removable awning, and a steel-framed structure with sides. Key requirements include a ballistic-rated design that can protect personnel from natural elements, a partially concealed transparent panel allowing the sentry to look outward, and a wheel assembly that can extend from the front of the structure. Additional specifications mandate a NIJ III square transparent anti-ballistic panel and an electrical infrastructure for powering a space heater and infrared heater, with electrical plug-ins confirmed to be available on-site.
