About this file

This draft Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the refurbishment of five Fairbanks Morse VTP 24M vertical mixed-flow propeller water-lubricated open lineshaft pump assemblies for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The project requires comprehensive refurbishment of pump components including propellers, bowls, propeller shafts, columns, lineshafts, and discharge head assemblies, with strict specifications for materials, manufacturing standards, and testing procedures.

Key requirements include using specific material standards (e.g., bronze, stainless steel, cast iron), conducting detailed inspections, performing factory performance tests, and providing extensive documentation including assembly drawings, operation manuals, maintenance data, and parts lists. The contractor must deliver refurbished pump assemblies that meet or exceed existing performance capabilities, with components made in the USA, and provide a minimum one-year warranty. Deliverables are due at specific intervals, including drawings and calculations within 9 weeks of contract award, and manuals and warranties at the time of delivery.
