About this file

This is a Question and Answer document for federal contract opportunity FA910126QB030 for a CNC Milling Machine. The document addresses three clarifications regarding machine specifications and capabilities requested by the procuring activity.

The key clarifications provided are: (1) the 96-inch maximum height specification in the Statement of Work refers to the working height of the machine itself, not the facility ceiling or cargo door height (the facility has a 103-inch ceiling height and 100-inch entry door height); (2) the minimum trace area specifications of X-19.7, Y-13.8, and Z-14 inches represent table travel specifications rather than minimum allowable axis travel; and (3) the government requires an actual 4th axis rotary table option for upcoming work capabilities, not merely 4th axis machining capabilities.

FA910126QB030 CNC Milling Machine

Number Question Answer 1 In the sow it states “Factory assembled

(max height 96 inches)” is this the maximum height of the ceiling or cargo door? Or is this the maximum height of the machine?

The 96” should be the working height of the machine. We have a celling height of 103” and an entry door height of 100”

2 Minimum trace area specification: X- 19.7, Y-13.8, Z-14. Is this the minimum allowed for axis travel? Or is this table size?

These dimensions are the table travel specifications

3 4th axis. Are you looking for 4th axis capabilities or an actual 4th axis rotary table option?

We are needing a 4th axis rotary table for upcoming work capabilities
