About this file
This document is a comprehensive Industry Day briefing for the HADES (Hybrid Architecture and Development for Experimental Systems) Contract Follow-On Acquisition by the Space Systems Command. The acquisition is a competitive, performance-based service contract with a potential $200M ceiling, targeting small businesses, scheduled for award in December 2026. The contract will have a three-year base period with four one-year option periods, potentially spanning seven years total, and will include both Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract line items.
The HADES Contract aims to provide ground operations and development support for the Research and Development Space and Missile Operations (RDSMO) program Ground System Enterprise. Key mission directives include developing innovative solutions to reduce ground system costs, operating an efficient ground system for R&D, building and supporting ground system instantiations, performing cyber defense, and supporting different operational environments from R&D prototypes to operational efforts. The source selection will use a best-value trade-off approach, with technical factors being significantly more important than cost, and will evaluate proposals based on mission support, program management, transition plan, past performance, and pricing.
