About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA875126Q0936 dated August 12, 2026, addressing clarifications on laboratory furniture specifications and design requirements.

The Q&A document addresses four key clarifications regarding the open frame laboratory furniture procurement: (1) room numbers have been added to the updated drawing (REV 1 dated 8/11/26) to assist with accurate room differentiation for installation and staging; (2) all-laminate shelves are acceptable to meet ESD protection requirements, and project specifications should be updated accordingly; (3) standard swing door cabinets are acceptable as substitutes for Tambour style cabinets, with all product substitutions requiring formal documentation; and (4) power is not required for the 1.2.1 worktables, with specifications calling only for a central wire grommet in the center/back position, meaning no Organizer is required despite power notation in earlier illustrations. This Q&A document provides essential clarification for offerors responding to the RFQ, which has an extended response deadline of September 3, 2026, and requires delivery within 8 weeks after receipt of order to Poland, NY on a firm fixed price, FOB Destination basis.

FA875126Q0936 Solicitation Questions and Answers 12 August 2026 Question: Can the room numbers be added to the drawing to help accurately differentiate rooms for installation and staging?

Answer: Please reference the updated drawing (REV 1 dated 8/11/26).

Question: If all shelves require ESD protection, they must be constructed of laminate. Are all-laminate shelves acceptable to meet this requirement?

Answer: Yes, please update the project specifications to laminate ESD shelving.

Question: Are standard swing door cabinets acceptable as a substitute for the Tambour style cabinet?

Answer: Yes, standard swing door cabinets are acceptable. Please ensure any product substitutions (such as swing-door cabinets or laminate ESD shelving) are formally documented.

Question: There are no Organizers requested; however, the Power illustration denotes power on these tables. If power is required, an Organizer must be specified. Please clarify if power is required and if an Organizer should be added.

Answer: There is no requirement for power in the 1.2.1 worktables. Specifications call for a central wire grommet in the center/back. The drawings do not indicate a power requirement; therefore, no Organizer is required.
