About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ FA875126Q0016 issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory for a CO2 Laser Cutter & Engraver. The document addresses two key vendor inquiries relevant to the solicitation requirements. Regarding domestic manufacturing preferences, the government clarified that while DFARS 252.225-7001 (Buy American and Balance of Payments Program) provides preference for domestically manufactured supplies, it does not prohibit the purchase of non-domestically manufactured products; vendors are encouraged to review the full clause text at www.acquisition.gov. On the critical requirement for onsite installation and training, the government firmly stated that the one-day onsite requirement is non-negotiable and remote alternatives such as Skype or similar online platforms will not be accepted as substitutes.
