SOLICITATION ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AMENDMENT #1
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q1: The List of Requirements attachment provided in the subject solicitation lacks physical dimensions for all the part numbers. Please advise?
A1: Mirrors (TLM) and plate beamsplitter (BTQ) are 1", everything else is 0.5".
Q2: The description for Waveplate #1 - QWPO-369.5-05-2 does not indicate mounted or unmounted, however, CVI part description is unmounted, 12.7mm diameter. Is this correct?
A2: Yes, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
Q3: The description for Waveplate #2 - QWPO-369.5-05-4 does not indicate mounted or unmounted, however, CVI part description is unmounted, 12.7mm diameter. Is this correct?
A3: Yes, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
Q4: Are you willing to entertain partial quotations? Are you averaging the pricing for the entire solicitation or will you make awards for individual items?
A4: No partial quotes, you must quote all required items as total evaluated price is based on the lowest total price for all items.
Q5: Each wave plate specification has the same last two lines, please see example below. The information before these lines for each wave plate was copied from CVI data on the web. These last two lines do not make sense to us and we do not know where they came from. Can you please provide clarification as to what you are addressing with these two lines?
A5: The bandwidth is related to the desired retardation tolerance. For tight tolerance, the bandwidth is 16 nm, and for relaxed tolerance, the bandwidth is larger. 800 nm is a wavelength at which these are specified in the catalog and is not necessarily representative of performance at the target wavelength. We will consider any reasonable measure of bandwidth.
Q6: Do Waveplate #1 and #2 need to be cemented?
A6: No, but air-gap waveplates need to be mounted.
